The Birkenstock Natural Skin Care Moisturizing Eye Contour Balm is an intensive moisturizing balm for the sensitive skin around the eyes: the highly-tolerable special care smooths and provides the sensitive skin around the eyes with an intense burst of moisture and reduces the first signs of wrinkles. The cork oak extract and natural hyaluronic acid have a smoothing effect and effectively protect the skin from drying out. The rich ingredients, such as evening primrose oil, shea butter, jojoba oil and squalane, provide intensive care and are nevertheless quickly absorbed.
The Moisturizing Eye Contour Balm is suitable for normal to dry skin.
Active ingredients:
BOTANICAL HYALURONIC ACID: from Chinese tremella is very similar to the structure and composition of human hyaluronic acid that is so important for the skin. It is able to retain large amounts of moisture and effectively targets tired-looking skin.
ORGANIC EVENING PRIMROSE OIL: is intended for flaky, very dry, mature, inflamed or irritated skin. It reduces transepidermal water loss, helps the skin to lock in moisture in the long term and has a regenerating effect.
ORGANIC JOJOBA OIL: has a specific structure that means it is broken down very slowly by the skin’s own lipases and therefore provides the outermost layer of skin with reliable and long-lasting protection from water loss, without feeling greasy. These factors are essentially responsible for the moisturising effect of jojoba oil.
ORGANIC SHEA BUTTER: natural organic shea butter has an antioxidant effect and regulates moisture content. Thanks to the wide range of ingredients, shea butter regulates the skin’s moisture content and has a moisturising, soothing and smoothing effect. It strengthens the lipid barrier of the outermost layer of skin. Shea butter is intended to treat dry, neurodermitic and barrier-damaged skin. It is very well tolerated and relaxes irritated and stressed skin.
SQUALANE: its structure and effect are similar to that of naturally occurring squalene in skin oil, providing it with excellent skin tolerability. Squalane protects the skin from loss of moisture and makes it soft and smooth. Squalane is quickly and efficiently absorbed into the skin, taking other active ingredients with it.
